Now I saw Sneezomatic2000 live on thrusday night. It started off slow, the 1st of their 2 sets, as this is how the next 2 Sneeze albums are going to be, a little conceptual - Yin/yang, Cold x2 Morning etc. The band that played before them, were Waikiki & they were quite nice, had a cd for sale which I bought but haven't had a chance to play yet, work & weekend getting in the way. The 2nd of Sneeze's sets was better & more upbeat, Tom reminding us he has the same initials as Thurston moore with his feedback jamming during the likes of Autumnal Eyes & Doctor of Love. When Honey Snaps / Svyker Du was a highlight as per ususal & most of the old favourites were there too as well as relative newcomers like Woooowee & B.U. afterwards Nic told me & a guy called Chris who organises Popfrenzy that he wasn't that happy up on stage because of the small crowd & technical problems & that they're off to Melbourne. I had given him a copy of the Levi Cecil 7" I'm distributing & he appreciated it. Simon Day was around & he'd been doing some of the mixing. Graham |
